Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the League Assistant Discord application and its related features (the “Service”). By adding, configuring, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must also comply with Discord’s terms and community rules, the rules of your Discord server, and any applicable league or tournament rules.

What the Service does

League Assistant is a team-management utility. Depending on server configuration, it may help members and managers collect player profiles and availability, organize rosters and weekly lines, coordinate emergency call-ups, create private management tickets, and send announcements or direct messages.

The Service is an independent community utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord, Electronic Arts, the National Hockey League, or LeagueGaming. It does not automatically submit official lines or records to LeagueGaming unless a future feature explicitly says otherwise.

Eligibility and authority

You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirements and be legally permitted to use the Service. A person who adds or configures the bot represents that they have authority to do so for that Discord server.

Management features are intended only for authorized team personnel. Server owners are responsible for choosing manager roles, limiting access to private channels, and promptly removing permissions when they are no longer appropriate.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, including availability, EA game tags, positions, roster status, and lineups. Managers remain responsible for reviewing all output and meeting official league deadlines and eligibility rules.

Do not use the Service to harass others, impersonate a person, distribute unlawful or harmful content, expose another person’s private information, evade server permissions, abuse direct messages or mentions, interfere with the bot, or violate Discord or applicable law.

Team content and communications

You retain responsibility for text and other information you submit. You give the Service permission to process, store, format, and display that content only as needed to operate requested features.

Private tickets are visible to the submitting member and the management personnel given access by that server. “Private” means restricted within the configured Discord server; it does not create a legal privilege or guarantee absolute confidentiality. Do not submit passwords, payment information, government identifiers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.

Availability and changes

The Service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, maintenance, or protection of users and the Service.

Server managers may remove the bot at any time. Individual members may stop using interactive features, subject to information already retained for legitimate team records as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free calculations, fitness for a particular purpose, or compliance with every league rule. Bot reminders and reports are organizational aids, not official rulings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, missed games or deadlines, roster penalties, or decisions made using Service output.

Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated as the Service changes or legal requirements evolve. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be announced through the bot or its support channels. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Questions and contact

For questions about these Terms, contact your server’s League Assistant management team or submit a private ticket through the bot. If the issue concerns the bot operator rather than your team, ask a server manager to escalate it to the application owner through Discord.
